Hello world! Open-mouthed smile

1st I want to apologize for not blogging much lately, I even stopped tweeting a lot, that’s because we’re in Ramadan (fasting month in Islam Smile) and I don’t have much time, which brings me back to Nokia Red heart and Ovi Store which gave us amazing apps for this month, I Red heart you!!

loool

So today’s post is going to be about the Ovi Blog, the 1st website I check every morning after my emails of course (lol Smile with tongue out)

Nokia has a lot of blogs, each of them is dedicated to a service, but the Ovi blog is totally unique *_*

First of all, the Ovi blog covers everything Ovi related; Ovi Mail, Ovi Store, Ovi Maps….etc in a nice and clean design, nice for reading =).

They also have fun stuff going on like Fun Friday, Old School, and a lots of competitions and Ovi Swag!!! and seriously, I mean a lot!!!

The latest competition was Nokia World 2010’s, they’ve been giving away free tickets, sadly I was unable to participate for reasons…Sad smile I’m sure they’ll be others Smile besides that, now, they’re looking for Ovi fans to interview! YaaY, and I can say, happily, that I love and enjoy Ovi more now that we have GPS available! I’ve been playing and discovering new places with Ovi Maps like never before! Open-mouthed smile

For sure, the Ovi Blog wouldn’t be so awesome if awesome people didn’t work in it!!! They did a great job but I must say, and I think a lot of you Ovi fans will agree with me, that Niini (a.k.a Miss Ovi Blog) is the awesome one! She’s the one who keeps the blog alive, she posts many articles a day, she answers our comments and interact with them, not just pass by and say hi and thanx, she actually read them! She’s friendly, cute, a nice person, geek (as far as I know!) and she loves pink, are there better combinations?? Winking smile

If you want to know more about her, I suggest you go and check out the interview Ovi blog did with her Smile

So…mmm.. what else?!Thinking smile

Well, I think you should go and check it out for yourself and see, you won’t be disappointed, I promise Winking smile

They’ve also released a mobile version of their blog, just visit blog.ovi.com on your mobile and you’ll be good to go Smile You can also keep up with the latest news by following them on twitter @OviByNokia

Oh, and I know I said I made an app of my blog using Ovi App Wizard, sadly it got rejected for some reasons, I’ll be fixing them and resubmit it Open-mouthed smile

P.S: Once I get (lets hope! Flirt male) Photoshop CS5 I’ll be working on a fun little gift for you Ovi fans Open-mouthed smile

I’m so hungry and tired nowDisappointed smile, lool ^_^ , so see you soon,

brightkite-mobile

As quoted from Wikipedia:

Brightkite is a location-based social networking website that is available on any mobile device. Users "check in" at places by using text messaging or one of the mobile applications and they can see who is nearby and who has been there before. The service was created in 2007 by Brady Becker, Martin May and Alan Seideman who previously founded the SMS notification service Loopnote. In April 2009 Brightkite was acquired by mobile social network Limbo.

Brightkite allows registered users to connect with their existing friends and also meet new people based on the places that they go. Once a user "checks in" at a place, they can post notes and photos to that location and other users can comment on these posts. Users control the privacy of their updates and can choose to share them with their Twitter and Facebook accounts, while also having the option to share their geotagged photo posts to Flickr.

Brightkite is available worldwide.

Brightkite currently has applications for iPhone, Android, Symbian, Blackberry and others. There is an open source third party app for BlackBerry called "myKite" and webOS called "Parafoil" .

Note: I edited the links so each one will take you to the appropriate store Smile.

and here’s how the Symbian version of the app looks like on my Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Open-mouthed smile
